FRAME 01: This photo was taken on a snowy night as we made our way back to our accommodation after an epic day of skiing in fresh powder.

FRAME 02:
While exploring the small fishing town of Otaru, I came across this car park lined with a row of vending machines. Buried in snow, each machine stood out with its own unique character, an unexpected and intriguing sight in the wintry landscape.

FRAME 03: This image was shot for my friend’s fashion collection, and it’s one I’m particularly proud of. The use of camera dragging adds a dynamic, storytelling element that brings the concept to life. – Emily

FRAME 01: I had no idea this skatepark existed when I arrived, but looking back, it’s clear how special—and iconic—it is. Tucked at the top of a hill with views over the town and its famous surf breaks, it’s easy to miss unless you know it’s there. The locals felt like family, hyping each other up as travellers watched on. That afternoon stood out: golden light, skaters going all in, and a shared energy that felt electric and pure. Taghazout.

FRAME 02:
My recent work had centred on clarity and stillness, but Amsterdam offered a different kind of energy. The subdued light of overcast skies contrasted with the restless activity of the city – especially around its ferries. I responded by using slower shutter speeds, letting motion take over where light fell short. This image, like the others from that series, captures the fleeting presence I was looking for: ghostly yet alive. Amsterdam. – Tommy

FRAME 01: Photo of the band Regional Justice Center – shot on a Yashica T4 with Portra 160.

FRAME 02:
A photo I shot for a new brick-and-mortar zine store opened by photographers, artists, and skateboarders in Austin. It’s called Keep Looking, and it’s seriously cool. The owners, Angela and Chris, host photo and art shows, plus other great events. I shot these on Ektar 100 for its vibrant, strong tones, and used my TLA200 flash for most of them. Just thought I’d share to spread the word about the shop.

In a world where everyone seems to rush and detail is lacking, vinyl allows us to slow down. Nowadays, music is so accessible — you can click on songs you like without even remembering the name or the artist. Listening to an album on vinyl is a patient process. It means making more conscious decisions about the music and artists you listen to. It means hearing an album in order and realising why the songs were arranged that way. It means appreciating the cover art and recognising that so many creative aspects go into music beyond just the song. It takes me back to the feeling of picking out a movie from the video store every Friday night when I was young. It means patience. – Bella

FRAME 02:
"I’ll take a pack of cigarettes, a Coke… and some jerky for Boris. “ Cinestill nights on Savska promenade, Belgrade.

These frames were shot over four months travelling through Europe, shooting exclusively on film in a hedonistic fashion. From a Sicilian heatwave to an Icelandic “summer” north of the wall – and everywhere in between – I focused on capturing both the street life of these cities and the coastlines and seismic landscapes that surround them. I faced all the hiccups that come with shooting solely on analogue: arguments at airport security, film shortages, hiking costs, faulty gear, and the delayed gratification of seeing your images only once you find a reliable lab. Thankfully, when I finally developed the rolls, all the self-doubt paid off – resulting in frames I’m really happy with, particularly those impossible to replicate digitally. Kodak Portra 400 has always been my go-to film stock, but I’ve recently discovered Ektachrome, and this slide film might just be a close contender for my new favourite medium. – Rosie

I’d previously dabbled in photography, mostly capturing my holidays on a Canon AE-1 with the cheapest film I could find. But it wasn’t until I moved to Korea in 2021 that I truly fell in love with it. Photography became a way to connect with my surroundings and the culture around me, and quickly turned into an obsession. I love the idea that there are pockets of magic in every town and city across the world, and that you never know what you’ll discover when you step out from your home or hotel. – Sam
