If you're currently in lockdown in Australia, it may feel like the sun shines brightest in the rear-view mirror – and if you happened to be present at Lost Sundays when Loods took centre stage, this very may well be the case.

A Loods set feels like an extended sojourn at some Italian coastal comune, an aperitivo in hand; it swelters with sunset vibes and holiday energy. So, you couldn't blame the eager Lost Sunday crowd for getting overly rambunctious on a Sunday evening in the middle of Sydney winter. For a fleeting moment, they had been whisked away to some seaside soiree, far from lockdowns and long coats. It's fair to say Loods provided a welcome mood for those who've gone months without live music or nightlife.

The setup at Lost Sundays is reminiscent of Boiler Room, the DJ situated in the middle of the floor as the revellers' party around the decks – three hundred and sixty degrees of music and mayhem. And while it takes a lot to keep a crowd's energy levels aloft for an entire two and a half-hour set, our man maintained peak elevation throughout. Feeling the liveliness across the floor, you couldn't help feeling that live music was well and truly back, even if it was only for a glimmer. 

The evening wasn't a sparkle and fade affair, Loods recently pulled together an hour-long mix for our friends at Lost Sundays, so you can get your Sunday sunshine fix. Anywhere. Anytime. If you happen to currently be in lockdown, we implore you to mix yourself something a little fruity, kick back and enjoy a necessary furlough for your mind. Most of all, hang in there, this bullshit won't last forever.
